Hello,

I'm in the process of setting up a lingerie dropshipping site. My supplier's return policy is that all sales are final and returns are only accepted if there was a discrepancy in the order or if the product has a defect. My supplier stated that returns on non defective items are generally not accepted in this industry due to hygiene reasons.

I was told by a person helping me set up my merchant account that because I'm a retailer I should provide a way for the customer to return the merchandise even if there is no defect. I was told that if I don't provide a way for the customer return non defective items the bank might not approve my merchant account. Should I include a statement in my return policy indicating that the customer will pay some kind of a restocking fee (15-25% of the price of the item) plus shipping if they want to return non defective items?  Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Seems troublesome, but u'd better make it clear in your return policy, I'm a wholesaler myself, and I know what will happen if not. But most of the time, with good quality and service, return policy is just for reference.
